Thank you, MLK Jr.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

Grateful for Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year.         January 2017

Thank you Ms. Seward, at McNair, for sharing this video link to Arkansas Historic Bridges. Beautiful structures.  Hoping my family can take a field trip to find a few of these this summer!

Our Root October “Character Word” is …..RESPONSIBILITY.  There are sooo very many ways that we ask our students to grow in responsibility.  It is exciting to watch our children take ownership of those things which they can control and manage.  Unlike the weather, which we can not control!  Today we had an entire 2nd grade class line up all by themselves at library time.  When the iPad alarm went off, telling us that we needed to clean up and line up quietly, this class showed incredible responsibility, and lined up without a word from Mrs. Jacobus!  Well done 2nd grade class, you know who you are!
